13 candles

I turned 13 today.  Yeah!!!  Officially a teenager but I really don’t see what all the big deal is about.

I did have a very, very COOL thing happen.   I got a phone call from Kenya.  Several months ago, I was contacted by a company called Nurture Smart in Nairobi asking if I would come to Kenya to help them with their Young Entrepreneur program.   I haven’t gone yet but the people at Nurture Smart have been so great to me keeping me updated on their program.  Anyway, the founder of the company called to wish me a happy birthday.  It was the farthest long-distance phone call I’ve ever gotten in my life.  Totally awesome!
