"Made by a kid but not just for kids!" It's about people helping people! Getting media attention and recognition takes a lot of work. It usually doesn't happen overnight and it's not easy. When you're a young entrepreneur, chances are you don't have the budget to hire PR firm or a marketing person. So how do you get the public to know about you? Be creative! There are many different ways to gain attention but one of the best and easiest ways is to give lots of interviews. No media outlet is too small because you never know who might happen to read a particular interview. They could tell a friend, who tells a friend, and pretty soon, you're getting national attention. Every interview counts. My first time on national TV was because someone read an article about me in a local newspaper. That person happened to know someone at NBC and before I knew it, I was "the kid mogul" on the game show 1 vs. 100. You just never know what can happen because of one interview. Even though I didn't win any money, it gave me lots of national exposure. I have given a lot of advice to other young entrepreneurs on how to get media attention and grow their business, but I wanted to help in another way. BizKid 2 BizKid is just one of the ways I can help promote other kids and hopefully share some of the opportunities I have received with my business. "Kids helping kids!"

Featured Interviews BizKid 2 BizKid is going on hiatus from September 1, 2010 until further notice, but most likely until school gets out. I just started 9th grade and am expecting high school to be much more involved than middle school was with homework, extra curricular activities, etc. My business will continue but I need to focus on school first so making time to interview other biz kids and write articles will have to take a back seat for awhile. I wanted to thank all of the other biz kids who allowed me to interview them. If you didn't get a chance to read the articles, please click on their name links. Hopefully, I'll see you back here soon. |
